Co-Author - Suzi Streit
Suzi launched her career as a trainer/speaker with Dale Carnegie in 1989 and was certified as an instructor in 1992. “I grew up in an Air Force family that moved around a lot,” Suzi says. “In those years, I was painfully shy, and that was a real deterrent to making friends and realizing my full potential.” Determined to turn things around in her adult life, she took the Dale Carnegie Course initially to overcome her shyness—and was so amazed at the transformation that she decided to be an instructor to help others conquer fears and build better relationships. For ten years, she taught Dale Carnegie in the Tyler area until joining TurnAround Solutions in 2002. Suzi’s skills in human dynamics have been the foundation of her work with TurnAround. She teaches a wide range of courses designed to improve leadership skills and enhance professional and personal interactions—from Crucial Conversations®, for which she is a certified instructor, to DiSC® personality profiling. Suzi has also developed several of TurnAround’s innovative, interactive training curriculums, from Time Management to Coaching Style Leadership. Clients range from public-sector organizations such as the Dallas Housing Authority to such industry leaders as Cox Communications, Sam’s Club, and Robroy Industries. Suzi has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. With a spirited commitment to education, she served for eight years on Tyler’s local Catholic School Council and serves now on the school board of the Catholic Diocese of Tyler. She is also on the Leadership Tyler Board of Directors, an organization dedicated to motivating and developing future leadership in Tyler.
