Stepp specializes in coaching CEOs and business owners. He helps them manage change; develop and grow their leaders, employees, sales teams, and customer base; and create positive work cultures through enhanced communication.

Stepp started his first business while still in his 20s.  In just a few years, his enterprise grew to seven retail stores and a manufacturing plant serving residential and commercial customers. From there, he was hired by a technology engineer to assist a small company in growing sales and improving corporate culture. Through this experience, Stepp’s interest was sparked in organizational development, change management, and leadership issues. The dream for a new company took shape, one focused on helping organizations improve their business by focusing on their most valued resource: their people.

In March 2000, Stepp launched TurnAround Solutions.  Today, he is assisting major companies in a variety of industries to change their belief systems and reach higher goals in competitive markets.

The statistics tell the story.  After partnering with TurnAround for training and coaching services:

  • A large retail club in Tyler, Texas, improved their leadership influence skills to become the top store of 455 club stores in the US.
  • A major cable internet company ramped up the skills of its managers and sales reps—enjoying a 15-30 percent increase in sales.
  • A national plastics manufacturing company partnered with TurnAround when the plant was looking to close. After four years, this plant grew its revenue from $10 million to about $39 million.
  • A large hospital sought measurable improvement in performance.  Stepp’s team conducted the research and developed an audit and training program that saved the hospital nearly 30 percent in costs—all while meeting industry requirements.

Along with his roles as trainer, curriculum developer, and executive coach, Stepp is also a professional author and speaker. He is a contributing writer for Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), writes regular articles for the companies he serves, and is the author of Survive...or Thrive? (Creating the Life You Want Out of the Life You Have) (in press).  A member of the National Speakers Association, Stepp has presented such groundbreaking programs as It’s All About Communication, Cooperation, and Commitment, addressing how companies can restore trust and harmony in their workforce.

Stepp has an associate’s degree in Electrical Power Distribution and Control from North Lake Junior College in Irving, Texas. He is a certified instructor for the DiSC® Assessment profile, Devine Inventory® Assessments, and also for Crucial Conversations®.
